Cleveland hospitals out-hire its factories, and both still lean on logins nobody has reviewed in years.
Education and health services employ more people in the Cleveland metro than any other BLS supersector, and manufacturing still accounts for more than one job in nine. A clinician may hold three roles in one week, and a factory line may depend on a vendor login nobody has changed in years.

Cleveland work for us centers on health systems, manufacturers and banks.
For hospitals that means identity governance across clinical, research and billing roles, plus HIPAA-grade access logging. For plants it means privileged and remote vendor access into OT networks. For lenders it means service account control and data governance. We work from Frisco, Texas, serve Northeast Ohio remotely and come to Cleveland for workshops and launches.
Cohash has no office in Cleveland or anywhere in Ohio. We run Northeast Ohio projects remotely from our Frisco, Texas headquarters and send consultants to hospital campuses and plants for workshops, cutovers and launches.

-
Health systems and academic medicine
A single physician can be a staff surgeon, a researcher on a grant and a faculty member, each with its own access needs and its own end date. We drive access from credentialing and research protocol records as well as HR, review high-risk EHR roles on a set cycle and alert on unusual chart access.
-
Coatings, chemicals and industrial manufacturing
Plants mix old control systems with new MES and quality software, and equipment vendors often reach them over a shared remote session. We map every remote path into the plant network, put each one behind a recorded and approved session, and give engineers named accounts in place of shared ones.
-
Regional banks and lenders
Loan origination, core banking and fraud tools trade data through batch jobs and APIs that run under service accounts with wide rights. We find those accounts, cut their rights to what each job needs and put their secrets on rotation, which is also what examiners tend to ask about first.
-
Ohio breach notification, R.C. 1349.19 ↗
Ohio sets an outer limit of 45 days from discovery to tell affected residents, with room for a law enforcement hold and for scoping the breach. Breaches reaching more than 1,000 Ohioans also trigger notice to the consumer reporting agencies.
-
HIPAA Breach Notification Rule, 45 CFR 164.404 ↗
Hospitals, physician groups and health plans must notify affected patients without unreasonable delay and in no case later than 60 calendar days after discovering a breach of unsecured protected health information.
-
Ohio cybersecurity safe harbor, R.C. 1354.02 and 1354.03 ↗
Enacted by SB 220 in 2018. An organization with a written security program that reasonably conforms to a listed framework, which include the HIPAA Security Rule, GLBA, NIST CSF and PCI DSS, can raise an affirmative defense to Ohio tort suits over a breach.
Most requested in Cleveland
The services clients in Cleveland ask us for most.
01Does the Ohio safe harbor help a hospital that already follows HIPAA?
Possibly. The HIPAA Security Rule is one of the frameworks R.C. 1354.03 lists, so a documented program that reasonably conforms to it can support the defense. The catch is evidence. We help keep access reviews, MFA coverage and incident records current so your counsel has something to point to.
02How do you handle physicians who also hold research and faculty roles?
We treat each role as its own access grant with its own sponsor and end date. When a grant closes or a faculty appointment ends, that slice of access goes away while clinical access stays in place.
03Our plant vendors connect over shared remote desktop accounts. Can that change without stopping production?
Yes, in stages. We first record who uses each shared account and when, then give each vendor technician a named account through a PAM gateway, and only then retire the shared login during a planned maintenance window.
04Do you have an office in Cleveland?
No. Our US office is in Frisco, Texas. Most work happens remotely, and we come to Cleveland for the sessions that go better in person, such as discovery with plant engineers or go-live support at a hospital.
